Treatment overview
Breast implant surgery at Olive Skin & Aesthetics is performed by Our team using only CE-marked, clinically proven implants from globally trusted manufacturers. Whether you desire a modest enhancement or a more defined silhouette, the procedure is customised to your body proportions, tissue characteristics, and personal aesthetic goals.
Modern breast implants are available in silicone gel and saline varieties, with a wide range of profiles, projections, and surface textures. During your consultation,
The goal is always a natural, balanced result — implants that complement your frame rather than define it, delivering confidence that feels entirely your own.
- Women who feel their natural breast size is disproportionately small relative to their body frame
- Patients who have experienced volume deflation following pregnancy, breastfeeding, or significant weight loss
- Individuals with notable breast asymmetry who wish to achieve greater balance
- Adults in good general health who are non-smokers or willing to pause smoking before and after surgery
- Patients with realistic expectations and a clear understanding of implant longevity and maintenance
- Women who have completed their family planning, or who understand implants do not preclude future pregnancies
The procedure is performed under general anaesthesia and typically takes 1–2 hours. We place incisions in discreet locations — most commonly in the inframammary fold (beneath the breast crease) or periareolar border — to minimise visible scarring.
Depending on your anatomy and implant type, the implant is placed either in the subglandular plane (above the muscle), submuscular plane (below the pectoral muscle), or the dual-plane position, which combines the benefits of both. The Keller Funnel no-touch delivery technique is used to reduce contamination risk and lower the incidence of capsular contracture.
Incisions are closed in multiple layers, and a supportive surgical bra is applied immediately post-surgery to maintain implant position during early healing.
- Days 1–3: Expect moderate tightness, swelling, and mild to moderate discomfort across the chest. Pain medication is prescribed. Rest with head and torso elevated is recommended.
- Days 4–7: Swelling begins to reduce. Light activities around the home are usually possible. Drains, if used, are removed.
- Weeks 2–4: Most patients return to sedentary work. Upper-body exercise and heavy lifting remain restricted.
- Months 2–3: Implants drop and settle into their final position — the natural softening and settling phase. Exercise restrictions gradually ease.
- Months 6–12: Final shape, softness, and scar appearance are achieved. Annual follow-ups are recommended.
